Meals from the Heart

A chef-led experience that helps families stay nourished

When a child is in the hospital, families stay close. Meals from the Heart helps ensure they stay nourished.

This chef-led experience gives your group the opportunity to prepare and serve a meal for families staying at Ronald McDonald House Louisville.

Work alongside our in-house chef in our commercial kitchen as you prepare a meal for families staying at the House. Your group will be guided through the process from start to finish. The chef will plan the menu, shop for ingredients, and guide your group through the experience.

To participate, groups make a $350 donation to support the Love Served Daily meal program.

This donation helps cover the cost of ingredients, kitchen operations, and meals served to families each day. Payment is processed when you schedule your experience.

If your group prefers to plan, shop, and prepare a meal on your own, click here to learn more about our Self-Guided Meal Experience.

Meet Chef Melissa

Chef Melissa joins the Ronald McDonald House kitchen with a belief that food is one of the simplest and most powerful ways to care for others. Her passion for cooking began while working at a childcare center, where she saw how a thoughtful meal could spark joy, build connection, and bring comfort. Drawn to the mission of Ronald McDonald House, Melissa is honored to serve families during difficult times by preparing meals that feel familiar, welcoming, and made with heart.
