Since 1984, Ronald McDonald House in Louisville has been keeping families close when children need healthcare, providing comfort, care, and connection for families during their most challenging times. While Ronald McDonald House programs now support families around the world, our focus remains here in Louisville, where we continue growing to meet the needs of local families.
In 2025, Ronald McDonald House Global introduced a global brand update to create a more unified and recognizable identity across all chapters. As part of this effort, chapters around the world have adopted a new name, tagline, and logo. These updates better reflect who we are and what we do, all while ensuring that families remain at the heart of our mission.
You’ll now see Ronald McDonald House used across chapters around the world, paired with their local community.
For us, that means a new name. On May 20, 2026, we became Ronald McDonald House Louisville, replacing Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana. It’s a change that we believe better reflects who we are and anchors us in the community we call home. Our refreshed identity includes an updated logo and a unifying global tagline: Family Stays.
There’s a difference between someone who stops by and someone who stays. Visitors come and go, providing support as they’re able… But families? Families stay. They stay in every hard conversation, every impossible decision. They put their entire lives on hold just to be close to the one who needs them most.
At Ronald McDonald House—all around the world and right here in Louisville—we believe that when a child is in the hospital, family stays.
And we stay with and for them.
So our visual look is new, but our heart, work, and purpose remain the same: caring for families with children who are ill or injured.
We remain committed to the belief that family is vital to healing, and that parents and caregivers should be fully supported throughout their child’s medical journey. And, while it costs about $152 per night to operate a room at the Ronald McDonald House, families are never charged for their stay.
