JoyFull Treats

Help families stay nourished throughout the day

JoyFULL Treats provides snacks and baked goods for families staying at Ronald McDonald House Louisville. These treats offer something quick and accessible for families during long and unpredictable days.

Volunteers help prepare a mix of baked goods and simple, healthy snacks that families can grab whenever they need them.

What you’ll do

  • Prepare baked goods or simple snacks in our commercial kitchen
  • Package items so they are ready for families to take as needed
  • Help keep the kitchen organized and stocked


Planning Ahead

We will provide packaging and labels for your group. Groups are asked to bring all ingredients needed to prepare their JoyFULL Treats.

To ensure health and safety:

  • Store-bought items must be in unopened containers
  • Produce should be brought in whole


Groups should plan to prepare at least 50 to 80 items during their shift.

Schedule Your Activity

The Details

  • Great for groups and families, up to 8 people
  • Minimum volunteer age: 10 years old
  • Food is prepared on-site in our commercial kitchen
  • Offered Tuesday through Thursday, 10 am to 12 pm; Sunday, 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm
  • Time commitment: 2 to 3 hours


Snacks may seem small, but they help families stay nourished and supported throughout the day without needing to leave the House.

To ensure the safety and well-being of all guests and staff, visitors 18 years of age or older are required to sign in through our Lobby Guard system by scanning a valid ID or entering their name and date of birth.

The system performs a public sex offender registry check. Individuals who appear on the registry will not be permitted entry.
